Volunteer

We will be looking for longer term volunteer teachers who genuinely want to make a difference. You will get a life changing and humbling experience, whilst benefitting vulnerable Cambodian children and helping the local community.

We are in the process of raising funds to build volunteer accommodation and facilities.

• Our goal is to have volunteer teachers come to teach for longer term stays of at least 1 month but ideally longer

• Volunteers should have a real interest in teaching

• Money will be paid upfront with no hidden costs

• Accommodation will be basic

• You will need daily spending money for extra costs

Our reasoning is that we want our kids to have teachers who stay longer who can commit to their education properly. We do not want short term volunteers, who only just get into their roles by the time they leave or their short stays are actually detrimental to the children and community’s welfare.

One of our experiences in previous organisations is short term volunteers can actually cause more harm than good, in terms of educational quality and emotional distress caused by constant farewells and new faces.
